A collection of beauty ideas I read over the weekend that I liked:
Tea Time!
Soak cotton wool pads in cool green tea and lay them on your eyes. I've heard about using normal tea bags before but not green tea. I love drinking it as it has great health benefits (helps speed up your metabolism for one!) but never thought about how great the caffeine could help diminish the blood vessels and the antioxidants help eliminate inflammation.
Pucker Up
For a fuller pout, mix a touch of cinnamon powder with some Vaseline Lip Therapy or your normal lip salve/gloss and apply. You may not know it but cinnamon is used in some expensive lip plumpers! Be careful though, lip plumpers work by irritating the skin so should be used with care.
Used too often, they may cause lips to peel or even develop ulcers.
Busy Bee
Honey has powerful antioxidants and antibacterial properties, which means it's perfect for curing dry or breakout skin. Apply to clean, dry skin and wash off thoroughly after 15 minutes. I have quite sensitive skin so I tried a patch test first.
Shining One
With the change in weather and the heating going on :( my hair is taking a beating so LOVE this one. Rinse your hair with apple-cider vinegar as it gives your hair a great shine. Don't use too often and vinegar can be quite striping but I sometimes feel that my hair gets so clogged up.
Eyes Wide Open
When coming to the end of your mascara but not ready to buy another one, stand it in a glass of hot water or heat it with a hairdryer to thin down the formula.
